Amsterdam founder Paul Zeper started the surf brand with the passion he had for surfing. The former windsurfer learned to windsurf in the Netherlands at the age of 14, his passion for windsurfing began that day. Besides surfing, Zeper also had a passion for graphic designs, in 2017 he found a way to combine his two passions and founded New Amsterdam Surf Association. Combining passion and perseverance with the clean colours and sleek graphics. The clothing is made for wearers who give their all, and don't give up easily. Thus, Paul Zeper said, "New Amsterdam Surf Association represents a certain vibe, it's for those who don't need the perfect wave or ideal conditions. It is for those who like to be challenged."
